For Interfaith Families

My house shall be a house of prayer for all peoples. (Isaiah 56:7)

It is our goal to approach everyone who enters our doors with C.A.R. First defined by BobiJo, one of our members, C.A.R. stands for Caring, Acceptance, and Respect.

We consider caring, acceptance, and respect to be cornerstones of Judaism. We regard an attitude of openness toward non-Jews and general culture a principle of Reform Judaism. While Kol Ami exists to support Jewish individuals and families who practice their faith, we are delighted to have others in our midst. The leadership of Kol Ami welcomes everyone's involvement to enrich us as a community.

Everyone is welcome to attend all services, life-cycle and holiday events, and a full spectrum of community events. We have many adult education programs for members and non-members. We want everyone to feel welcome at CKA.

Interfaith Resources
From our Rabbi

To our non-Jewish spouses and family members:

I consider myself to be the rabbi for all of Kol Ami regardless of your personal faith commitments or your background. As part of the community, I hope you will consider me available to you for your pastoral, counseling, and educational needs as I am for any other member of Kol Ami. If, in my role as a rabbi, I am not the right person to meet your specific needs, I will make every effort to refer you to the people or resources as can meet your needs. On behalf of Kol Ami, I want you to know we're glad to have you as part of our community.
