Membership Support
Contact Michelle Tell
The Membership Support Committee is here to help congregants in need and to connect congregants to each other. One of our most important responsibilities is the Sunshine Committee. The Sunshine committee arranges for rides, meals, shiva minyons, visiting the sick, and all the other things that congregants need when things happen in their lives. The committee keeps a list of people who are willing to help in times of need. Contact us if you would like to be on this list.
We also help members become more active in temple activities and support members efforts to know each other through Chavurot which are groups of families that get together on a regular basis to hang out, have fun, and celebrate Judaism. Each group is self-supporting. There are groups for young couples without children, families with young children, and older couples. There are groups of all ages.
Another avenue for getting together is through our Affinity Groups which have fluid membership. Groups include Gourmet Dining, Lunch Bunch, Needlework, Book Clubs, and others.
In addition, we are responsible for arranging child care during services, including the High Holidays and Shabbat evening.

Tikkun Olam
Contact Marianne Cagle
Maybe we’re supposed to be created equally, but face it. All men (and women and children) are not blessed equally. It is for the Tikkun Olam Committee to improve the conditions of people who have less – less food, less shelter, less health, less family, less ability to sustain themselves, even less fun – so many of the things we all have and under-appreciate. We will give: give of our hearts, and of our HANDS and of our TIME, not just of our wallets. And we will include our children because their hands, and especially their hearts, have a lot to give. We may not repair the world in one go, but we can make a dent.
Look for upcoming Tikkun Olam projects and when you see an endeavor – or two – that appeals to you, we will be holding a spot just for you.
